Iran athlete shines at Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships
Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s representative in the 49 kg girls’ category succeeded in shattering the national record of the youth age group by 2 kilograms at the 2023 Asian Youth and Junior Championships.
The weightlifting championships event is being held in the Indian capital New Delhi from July 28 to August 5.
Anita Feizi, a 49 kg weightlifter, was Iran’s first representative to lift weight in Group B on Sunday.
Feizi with an impressive performance managed to finish second in Group B while upgrading the national record of the category, finishing second in that group with 96 kg.
