Works minister receives UK ambassador

Manama, Nov. 1 (BNA): Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Engineer Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf received here today the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain Simon Martin to explore further cooperation and exchange of expertise as well as the potential of signing agreements on development projects. They reviewed the most prominent joint ventures in construction, agriculture, urban planning and discussed areas of cooperation in the economic and trade fields to serve the best interest of both the countries. The minister lauded the deep-rooted bilateral relations, growing steadily thanks to the keenness of the two countries' leadership on promoting them in all fields. The ambassador expressed thanks and appreciation to the minister and the officials at the works and municipalities sectors. He expressed hope that bilateral cooperation will flourish in order to meet the aspirations of the people of both the countries.
