Works minister receives Kazakhstani ambassador

Manama, Feb. 2 (BNA): Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf on Tuesday received the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Bakyt Batyrshayev, in the presence of the ministry's undersecretary for Agricultural Affairs, Dr. Salman Abdulnabi Al Khoza'ee. The minister welcomed the Kazakhstani ambassador, praising the current bilateral ties in all fields that the serve the interest of both countries, wishing the ambassador all success in his duties. The ambassador presented invitation to the minister to attend the Islamic Agricultural Cooperation Organisation's meetings. The minister said Bahrain has exerted pioneering efforts in achieving food security by adopting the Kingdom's Agrarian Development Strategy in line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 aimed to boost agricultural productivity and to develop food industries by utilizing scientific and technical methods in farming and protection of hereditary agricultural and food resources through short-, medium- and long-term developmental programmes. The ambassador expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the minister for the amicable reception, praising at the same time the programmes, projects and plans undertaken by the ministry, wishing Bahrain all success and advancement under its leadership.
