Women MPs meet people from “Gunj” NGO

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Women parliamentarians received Thursday a delegation of the "Gunj" NGO which protects rights of girls and women. The MPs thanked the NGO for collaborating in tackling matters of women, and noted that they are working on revising draft laws on a family and on protecting human rights, including women's rights. "We are focusing on including a protection of rights of young mothers to these drafts," they said, adding that young mothers should plan their life and gain education. "Young mothers face problems in caring children, most of them are unemployed due to lack of kindergartens," the NGO's experts stressed. The MPs promised to support the NGO and suggested widening its activities. Founded in 2003, the "Gunj" NGO works with purposes to protect rights of adolescents and young mothers, giving social advice to them and preventing them from possible problems.
