Western Naval Exercises In The Arabian Gulf

BAGHDAD / NINA / Arabian Gulf is experiencing naval exercises with the participation of troops and ships from British, American, French, and Australian under the name "United Trident." The aim of the exercises is to test the readiness for these forces and to promote and support naval operations in the region in cooperation with the US Central Command naval forces (its headquarters in Bahrain). The exercises will be held in the period from January 31 to February 2, and through these exercise will be trained on mine and implement patrol and directing strikes to supposed rival. The aim of the exercise is to strengthen the partnership between the participating forces and support maritime security and strengthen international cooperation to ensure the freedom of movement of trade in the Gulf region, as well as improve the efficiency of tactical forces participate in and strengthen partnerships to ensure freedom of navigation. / End
