Voluntary Work Award set on September 15

Manama, Aug. 10 (BNA): The organising committee of HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Voluntary Work (IAKVW) Award held its meeting chaired by Good Word Society (GWS)'s chairman Hassan Bu Hazza'. The working committees at the level of the Arab world have been announced. Subcommittees have also been selected, their duties and membership defined including: the media, secretarial, main celebratory event, programmes and public relations committees. The GWS marks the Award's fifth anniversary in association with the Arab Voluntary Work Federation affiliated to the Arab League to coincide with the private and public celebrations of the Arab Voluntary Work Day on September 15 in partnership with the UN Volunteers (UNV) Programme. The previous editions of IAKVW witnessed the honouring of seasoned volunteers from eighteen Arab countries. This year, more personalities will be honoured as part of the Award's September calendar.
