Volume of GDP of Kyrgyzstan for 8 months amounts to KGS 506 bln

Gross domestic product in January-August of this year, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to KGS 506 billion, Deputy Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan Zainidin Zhumaliev told reporters. He noted that the indicator increased by 8% compared to January-August 2021. Zhumaliev added that the largest growth was in the provision of services to the population, which amounted to 46%, the share of industry was about 19%, agriculture - about 13% and construction - 6%. “Excluding enterprises for the development of the Kumtor mine, the volume of GDP in January-August of this year amounted to more than KGS 468 billion and increased by 5.1%,” he informed.
