Vishnu Prakash to be India's envoy to South Korea

New Delhi, Dec 7 (PTI) India today named the spokesman its Ministry of External Affairs, Vishnu Prakash, as its next ambassador to South Korea. Prakash, an Indian Foreign Service officer of the 1981 batch, will soon be joining the new assignment after a three-year stint as the MEA spokesman. He had earlier served in the Indian missions in China, Pakistan, Tokyo, Cairo and New York. He is expected to be succeeded as the MEA spokesman by Syed Akbaruddin, an IFS officer of 1985 batch. PTI
