Vice President Receives Kuwaiti Ambassador

BAGHDAD, IRAQ (NINA) - Vice President Nuri al-Maliki stressed the need to mobilize Arab and international efforts towards Iraq and support it in the process of construction and reconstruction, which will start in the country after the defeat of Daesh gangs. A statement issued by his media office said that "Maliki received, in his official office today, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Iraq Salim Ghasab al-Zamanan, and during the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them, and preparations by Kuwait to host the conference to reconstruct Iraq early February next year." Al-Maliki praised Kuwait's support for Iraq, especially in the area of humanitarian support for the displaced, stressing the importance of strengthening the bonds of historical friendship and common interests between the two brotherly countries. For his part, Kuwaiti Ambassador Zamanan conveyed the greetings of the Amir of Kuwait to the Vice-President of the Republic and the wishes of the Kuwaiti people to Iraqis for security, stability and progress./ End
