Uzbek president appoints Tashkent administration head

Uzbekistan, Tashkent, March 16 / Trend D. Azizov / Rahmonbek Usmanov was appointed as the head of the administration in the capital of Uzbekistan - Tashkent upon Uzbek President Islam Karimov's decree. Usmanov's candidacy was approved at the meeting of the Tashkent City Administration, held on Friday. The presidential decree was published in the electronic media outlets of the republic. So far Rahmonbek Usmanov was acting governor of the city. It was reported that the former head of the Tashkent administration Abdukahhor Tuhtaev was dismissed and acting head of the administration of the capital Rahmonbek Usmanov was appointed upon the presidential decree in February 2011.
