Uplifting national media cadres stressed

Manama , Nov 1 (BNA): Information, Shura and Representatives Councils' Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al Hammadi has stressed that the development of specialized human resources in the press and media fields represents the basis of the ministry's plans and programmes aimed at upgrading the media march in partnership with national institutions. This came during the opening of the Joint Vocational Training Programme organized by the Royal University for Women (RUW) in in collaboration with the Journalists' Professional Training Centre (CFPJ), and the support of Tamkeen and Bahrain Development Bank, according to which the students will be granted the professional certificate in multi-media journalism, in accordance with the MoU signed with the French center which has recently entered into force. The minister noted the importance of the training programme in benefiting journalists and media personnel, as well as personnel of the Information Ministry and Information Affairs Authority, from the facilitation provided by the French center and RUW that will enable the participant to acquire new skills in the area of writing field reports and electronic press. RUW President Mazin Juma pointed out the importance of the training programme in rehabilitation of the national cadres in the field of median and press in cooperation with a prominent international media training center. He lauded the minister's support and patronage for the agreement that comes within the RUW contributions to support the community and the ministry's plans to accentuate Bahrain as a regional training center in the field of media and communication.
