UoB holds workshops on labour market needs

Manama, Apr. 23 (BNA): University of Bahrain(UoB)'s Vice-President for Community Service and Alumni Affairs Dr. Haya bint Ali Al-Nuaimi has affirmed UoB's keenness on providing the institutions of the public and private sectors with the latest scientific theories, administrative and practical skills and best practices, through conducting workshops and innovative training courses that meet the labour market's requirements. She said that 637 trainees had benefited from 47 courses and training programmes from September 2014 to April 2015. She said that the Centre of Community Service and Continuing Education (CCSCE), in cooperation with UoB's colleges offered a number of courses for a large number of ministries, authorities and private sector institutions. She asserted that the courses address various topics and specialisations through depicting the needs of the ministries and private and public institutions, then offering training courses to provide these needs. This workshop is one of a series of workshops and events provided by the centre to develop and train the employees of the public and private sectors and provide the community with the latest knowledge and skills in various areas as a contribution from UOB to the national process of human development
