Undersecretary meets UK National Security Council Deputy advisor

Manama, Dec. 15 (BNA): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary, Ambassador Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla met here today the Deputy advisor of the UK National Security Council Gwynne Jenkins and his accompanying delegation. They underscored the deep rooted historical ties between the two friendly countries and their resolve to expand them in various fields. Discussions extended to cover the latest regional and international developments of common concern and stressed the need to combat terrorism and to coordinate international efforts in this area. They also reviewed the two countries’ ongoing preparations to the celebrations marking the 200th anniversary of the commencement of relations of friendship between the two countries. It was decided to launch many functions and events round the year to illustrate the friendship and collaboration between the two countries.
