Two held for torturing dog to death

Manama,July 27 (BNA) General Director of Muharraq Governorate Police announced the arrest of two people suspected of torturing a dog to death in Muharraq. He said that the Muharraq Police Station received a case from a citizen reporting a dog that died by hanging. He reported also that the dog’s photo was being circulated in social media. The police were deployed to the location, but the body of the dog was not found. Investigation led to the identification of the owner and he and his friend were summoned and their statements were taken. They were both held in custody pending completion of legal proceedings to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
