Turkmenistan will help Afghanistan in the restoration - President

Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Dec. 10/ Trend H. Of no less importance are the initiatives for increasing the supply of Turkmen electricity to Afghanistan, the development of transport and, in particular, the rail infrastructure of the neighboring state of training for this country. The basic document for the promotion of TAPI is the inter-state agreement of TAPI, signed in Ashgabat on a high level in December 2010. The length of TAPI could reach 1,700 0 km, its design capacity - 33 bcm. meters of natural gas per year, the cost is estimated at 7-8 billion U.S. dollars. At the 1680 km route of the future gas pipeline is planned to construct six compressor stations - from the Turkmen fields to the village Fazilka (India) on the border between Pakistan and India. At this stage, the parties involved in the project agree on the price of raw materials, the safety of transit, to decide whether the financing and the formation of an international consortium. Experts note that a major obstacle to implementing the TAPI pipeline is continuing the escalation in Afghanistan. Ashgabat proposed a UN-sponsored inter-Afghan peace talks.
