TURKISH RED CRESCENT CONSRUCTING MOSQUE IN KASHMIR

ISLAMABAD (A.A) - 15.07.2010 - The Turkish aid organization Kizilay (Turkish Red Crescent) is constructing a mosque in the Pakistan-administered Kashmir region.
The mosque is being built in Bagh province, one of the 4 provinces destroyed the most by the 2005 earthquake that hit the northern parts of Pakistan, officials told AA on Thursday.
The Ottoman style mosque will be delivered to Pakistan's Earthquake Reconstruction & Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) once the construction is completed, officials added.
The construction work of Bagh Mosque was contracted to a Turkish construction company operating in Pakistan for 3.5 million Turkish liras (1 USD equals 1.54 TL) and it would have a capacity to accommodate 300 people, besides a guesthouse, a lodging facility and a teaching area for 250 students practicing the holy book of Islam, the Koran, sources said.
Bagh Mosque, constructed by Turkish architects and engineers, is expected to be inaugurated in September 2010.
