TURKISH HUMANITARIAN RELIEF FOUNDATION HELPS HAITI

ISTANBUL (A.A) - 19.01.2010 - The Foundation for Human Rights & Freedoms & Humanitarian Relief distributed humanitarian aid in Haiti following a magnitude-7 quake devastated the country.
The foundation stated on Tuesday that a team of 50 people distributed 50 tons of aid to Haitians, adding that the team proceeded to Dominican Republic to get new assistance materials.
The team will buy humanitarian equipment from Dominican Republic and transfer them to Haiti by trucks.   
A powerful earthquake devastated Haiti on January 12. 
The quake killed tens of thousands of people and left thousands of others homeless and destitute. It was the most devastating quake recorded in the last two centuries.
