Turkish former president departs Kingdom

Manama, Sept. 16 (BNA): Turkish former president Abdullah Gul left the Kingdom of Bahrain after his visit during which he met senior Bahraini officials and explored with them the friendship and cooperation ties between Bahrain and Turkey as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern. President Abdullah Gul gave a lecture during his visit on "peace opportunities and the region) hosted by the International Peace Institute (IPI). He was seen off by Industry and Commerce Minister Zayed R. Al Zayani; Turkish Ambassador to the Kingdom, Hatun Demirer, and several officials.
