Turkish companies would resume work in Libya, NTC head says

İSTANBUL (A.A) - Head of Libya's National Transitional Council Mustafa Abdel Jalil said Turkish companies would resume operations in their previously-made investments. Abdel Jalil said in a joint press conference with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan that Libya was grateful for Turkey's support and for the solidarity Turkish government and nation had shown. "Turkey will play a central part in the reconstruction of Libya. As the Turkish and Libyan governments we will extend any support to Turkish companies to that end," Abdel Jalil said.  Abdel Jalil said Turkey set an example with its economic achievements as well as with political experience, adding that Turkey and Libya also shared a common history. He said Libya's newly-appointed prime minister was set to visit Turkey within the next couple of weeks to improve further relations between the two countries.
