TURKISH AIR CARRIER'S ADS ON THAILAND'S TALLEST BUILDING

ISTANBUL (A.A) - 18.02.2010 - Turkey's national airline carrier, which has recently signed a series of prestigious promotion agreements, has placed billboards on top of Thailand's tallest tower.
The 304-meter "Baiyoke Tower" in Bangkok, which is also one of the world's highest buildings, will carry Turkish Airlines' (THY) ads until August 2010, officials said on Thursday.
Commenting on the company's new advertising method, THY's Bangkok Director Adnan Aykac said the ads showed that THY had become a global brand.
"This has been a truly global study in such a global city. We have received a very positive feedback already," Aykac said.
Within the scope of its effective promotion campaign, THY had also signed sponsor agreements with English football club Manchester United and Spanish team FC Barcelona at the beginning of 2010.
THY is Turkey's national airline company and is one of the fastest growing carriers in Europe. The Istanbul-based airline is using Istanbul's Ataturk Airport as a hub for flights to Europe, Asia and Africa in partnership with the Star Alliance group of airlines.
