TURKEY'S SOUTHERN RESORT CITY HOSTS 7 MLN TOURISTS
ANTALYA (A.A) - 31.08.2010 - Turkey's southern resort province of Antalya hosted nearly seven million tourists since the beginning of 2010.
Antalya Culture & Tourism Provincial Directorate stated on Tuesday that the number of tourists, who visited Antalya via airways, reached 6,819,068 since the beginning of the year.
A total of 196,445 tourists entered Antalya Airport's international terminal in the last four days which rises the number of tourists Antalya hosted between August 1 and 30 to 1,468,731.
The number of tourists, who visited Antalya, increased three percent in August 1-30, 2010 when compared to the same period of 2009, while the number of tourists who visited the city since the beginning of 2010 rose 11 percent when compared to the same period of 2009.
Antalya hosted 6,154,417 tourists between January 1 and August 30, 2009; 6,484,392 tourists in the same period of 2008; and 5,418,976 tourists in the mentioned period in 2007.
