TURKEY-SYRIA HIGH LEVEL STRATEGIC COOPERATION COUNCIL TO CONVENE IN LATAKIA
ANKARA (A.A) - 01.10.2010 - The second ministerial meeting of the Turkey-Syria High Level Strategic Cooperation Council will take place in Latakia, Syria on October 2-3.
Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a press release issued Friday that the progress of relations and the developments since the first ministerial meeting of the council would be evaluated and the approval and implementation of the 50 agreements, protocols, and MoUs --signed in the council meeting presided by the premiers of the two countries on December 23, 2009-- would be reviewed during the meeting.
Turkish-Syria Businessmen Forum will be held on the sidelines of the council meeting.
Turkish Foreign Ministry said Turkish government was confident that the High Level Strategic Cooperation Council would contribute to the peace, security and stability in the region.
