BANK AFTER MR. NIYAZI
Niyazi Aydogan, the owner of Turkuaz Airlines which has bankrupted, divorced from his wife whom he transferred his 42 immovable properties, in three days. After this development, Bank Asya filed a lawsuit against Aydogan regarding its receivables from Aydogan worth 13.5 million Turkish liras (TL).
THIS IS CALLED INEXPERIENCED DIPLOMACY
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticized remarks of U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Francis Ricciardone regarding freedom of press. Erdogan said, "he does not know about Turkey, what is what in Turkey, what laws Turkey has passed, and he is unaware of all these things, and then he is trapped and plotted and he makes a statement." Erdogan also said, "first search and learn. This is called inexperienced diplomacy."
SURPRISE VISIT TO HASDAL TO BOOST MORALE
Chief of General Staff Gen. Isik Kosaner and force commanders paid a visit to 102 officers, including 24 generals and admirals who were sent to Hasdal Prison after being arrested in the Balyoz (Sledgehammer) case. This visit was interpreted as "a message of morale and solidarity."

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan reacted harshly to U.S. ambassador Francis Ricciardone's recent remarks in which the diplomat said he could not comprehend the detentions in Balyoz case and at Oda TV. "You should first make a research and get information about the issue. This is an amateur stance for an ambassador," Erdogan said.
44 MINUTES BEFORE THE NIGHTMARE
It has been revealed that a significant seismic movement and noise started under the ground 44 minutes before the earthquake took place in Golcuk on August 17, 1999. Turkish and French researchers have found out that there had been a movement in the fault lines 44 minutes before the quake was felt above ground level. Thanks to such data, an early warning system could be developed in order to determine major earthquakes beforehand, officials said.

41 TIMES BRIBERY
Sabah daily newspaper learned about the details of the bribery operation at the Customs Department. The hidden camera placed in the office of Hayrettin Eker, the cargo director of Istanbul's Ataturk airport, indicated how bribes were taken. Representatives of firms called Eker as "Godfather", and the camera recorded Eker getting bribes for 41 times. When Eker was arrested, there was 7,000 USD and 6,000 Turkish liras (TL) in his pocket.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan responded to Republican People's Party (CHP) chairman Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who said, "where is the Ergenekon organization? I will become a member." Erdogan showed the address to Kilicdaroglu saying, "go to the Department No: 2 of the Council of State, you will see it there. Go to Diyarbakir, Sivas, Corum and you will find what you are seeking. Go to Dersim, your relatives will explain it to you."
