Protestors rebelling to Muammar al-Gaddafi also attacked Turkish companies in Banghazi and Darnah. Turkey sent two planes to Libya in the first place to evacuate Turks from this country. Armed attacks were staged against construction sites of Turkish companies, and houses of Turks were invaded and plundered. ESCAPE FROM LIBYA
Nearly 1,000 of the 6,000 Turks living in the Libyan city of Banghazi demanded to return to Turkey due to the growing riots in the country. Libya, which has been ruled by Muammar al-Gaddafi's iron fist for 41 years, is now going through chaos. As the country is like a closed box, no healthy information can be obtained regarding the latest developments. Sources claim that nearly 200 people have died in the clashes in five Libyan cities so far.
