TURKEY, HONORARY GUEST OF INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL IN DAMASCUS

DAMASCUS (A.A) - 25.10.2010 - Turkey will be the "honorary guest" of the 18th Damascus International Film Festival in Syrian capital. 
The film festival will take place from November 7 to 13. 
Turkan Soray, one of the leading actresses of Turkish cinema, will attend the festival.  
During her two-day stay in Damascus, Soray will attend the opening of the festival, watch one of her films with Syrian audience and visit cultural places. 
Syrian Ministry of Culture will decorate Soray with a plate. 
Several other Turkish actors and actresses will be in attendance at the festival. 
Meanwhile, 13 Turkish films including "Honey" by Semih Kaplanoglu and "Soul Kitchen" by Fatih Akin will be screened during the festival. 
A number of films from 45 countries will participate in this year's festival.
