Turkey is a haven of stability, Atlantic Council president says
ISTANBUL (A.A) - Atlantic Council President and CEO Frederick Kempe said Thursday that Turkey was a haven of stability in the region where there were some problems.
Delivering a speech at the Black Sea Energy and Economic Forum organized by the Atlantic Council in Istanbul, Kempe said that the forum convened when the region and the world have been passing through a difficult time.
Kempe said Turkey was a safe haven in the region, stating that Turkey was an important actor in the area of energy.
Turkey had a dynamic economy and it was assuming a great role in international relations, Kempe said.
Ashti Hawrami, Natural Resources Minister of the regional administration in the north of Iraq, said that Turkey was the biggest market in Europe and that's why they attached a great importance to Turkish market.
