Tunisian president talks to the local press

Manama, Jan. 28 (BNA): Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi today received local newspapers chief editors and Bahrain News Agency (BNA)'s Acting Director-General, Mohannad Al Nuaimi. Essebsi expressed his gratitude and appreciation of HM the King and the government and people of Bahrain for the warm welcoming reception accorded to him and his accompanying delegation, reiterating his country's keenness on developing the cooperation ties to reflect the strong fraternal bonds He commended the compassion extended by the government and people of Bahrain to the resident Tunisian community from the reign of the late Emir HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa to the present day, lauding the kingdom's advancement and prosperity in all fields. He affirmed the need to bolster pan-Arab security cooperation to overcome the current challenges and risks facing Arab countries in a world experiencing economic and political turmoil. The Tunisian president touched on various dossiers and issues of common concern in the region.
