Toys updated technical code effective on August 12

Manama, Aug. 6 (BNA): The Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC) said the updated technical code for children's toys will become effective at customs ports in the Kingdom of Bahrain on August 12 in compliance with Ministerial Resolution 1/2015. The ministry urged all importers of children's toys to comply with the updated code which prohibits the importation of non-conformant toys into the Kingdom's markets. Toys should bear GCC standards conformity sign to ensure the safety of children and to avoid importers incurring losses due to rejected consignments that do not conform with regulations and requirements.
