Tourist season in Kyrgyzstan started off well - Department of Tourism

Bishkek, July 22, 2022. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's tourist season started off well, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism Kyyal Kenzhematova said during a briefing in Bishkek. "Now the tourism season is in full swing. There are a lot of people on the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake. We are pleased with the opening of the borders for land crossing, the algorithms related to COVID-19 have been cancelled, so access to Kyrgyzstan is open," said the deputy director. Kenzhematovaalso added that there are still downsides in the work. For example, she believes that the country needs to improve the level of safety, not only public, but also environmental. "It is important to finalize the level of security in the tourism industry in all directions. In addition, we need to work out new mechanisms for the promotion sector, i.e. marketing, as well as to recruit staff. To date, there are only 11 employees in the department for the whole country," she said.
