Ties between Bulgaria, Qatar Enter New Horizons of Cooperation - Bulgarian PM

Doha, March 14 (QNA) - Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said that the relations between his country and Qatar has entered new horizons of cooperation due to the positive and supportive positions accorded to Bulgaria from HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. Addressing a meeting between Bulgarian businessmen and their Qatari counterparts, Borisov described the signed agreement between the two countries, under which Qatar will invest Euro 100 million in three key sectors in Bulgaria, as a new step forward in the relations between the two states. He added that there will be a new development when Qatari teams arrive in Bulgaria one month from now to discuss different issues related to bilateral relations so as to reach a final decision and achieve more tangible results in next May during the expected visit of HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani to Bulgaria. The Bulgarian Prime Minister said that he briefed HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani on the capabilities of Bulgarian companies and their areas of works, especially those working in the fields of construction and engineering as well as metro projects. He said that the two sides will cooperate in various sectors including transport, tourism and infrastructure, hoping to succeed in convincing the Qatari side to invest in Bulgaria airport. This, he said, will give a great boost to ties. (QNA)
