Ticket sale for Eurovision-2012 begins

The sale of tickets for the Eurovision-2012 song contest which is to be held on May 26 starts today at 15:00 Baku time. The tickets will cost from 160 to 240 manat, the official website eurovision.az said on Thursday.
As with tickets to other stages of the competition, those for the final will be sold online at the eurovision.tv website.
Tickets for the first semi-final to be held on May 22 and a dress rehearsal of the semi-finals were on sale from February 29. Tickets for the finalswhen the jury will vote will go on sale from March 12 (60 - 100 manats). Those for the final concert to be held on May 26 (16 - 240 manat) will go on sale from March 15.
Baku's Crystal Hall, situated near the area of the state flag, will host the final performance of the contenders of the 57th Eurovision song contest and is designed to hold 23,000 seats.
Each ticket will be nominal, that is the buyer's name and the number of the document proving his identity will be required to buy the ticket.
A single person using one card such as MasterCard, Visa or American Express will only be able to get no more than four tickets through the Internet. Purchased tickets will benefit only the owner who cannot give the ticket to another person. Entering false information on the ticket purchaser will make the ticket invalid. This procedure will prevent the counterfeiting of tickets and which could be sold on the black market.
The Baku Crystal Hall is the arena with a capacity of up to 23,000 spectators. Approximately 16,000 people will be able to attend each of the three Eurovision Song Contest live shows in May.
The Eurovision 2012 semi-final rounds will be held in Baku on May 22-24 and the finals on May 26.
