Thailand Reports Record 20,920 New Covid Cases

BANGKOK, Aug 5 (TNA) – Thailand reported on Thursday a record 20,920 coronavirus cases and 160 more deaths in a day. The new cases comprised 20,658 cases among general population and 262 cases found in prisons, the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration reported. Over the past 24 hours, 17,926 cases recovered and were discharged from hospitals and 213,910 cases are being treated for Covid-19. Since the pandemic started early last year, there have been 693,305 Covid-19 cases. The death toll was at 5,663. (TNA)
