Thai PM wishes King to recover soon

BANGKOK, July 14 (TNA) – Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Saturday signed her name and presented flowers wishing His Majesty the King to recover from sickness while many people traveled to Siriraj Hospital, where the king is staying to wish the revered monarch gaining strong health. Accompanied by Ampon Kitti-ampon, secretary-general to the Cabinet, the prime minister signed her name in the visitor book at the hospital. Many people were seen outside the hospital building where His Majesty is receiving treatment to express their concerns and to also wish the King a speedy recovery. The Royal Household Bureau announced Friday that His Majesty the King experienced intermittent twitching of his right hand and his heart beat increased Thursday night. An X-ray computerised tomography scan of the monarch’s brain revealed minute subdural bleeding in the left frontal area. After medication was given intravenously on Thursday night the seizure disappeared, according to the bureau’s announcement. The committee of royal physicians has requested that His Majesty cease royal activities for a period of time. His Majesty earlier planned to visit a land development project in Ratchaburi province, near Bangkok, on Sunday. The trip is now postponed. (TNA)
