Thai PM not to resign by academics' pressure

BANGKOK, November 10 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Thursday dismissed a movement of lecturers at Bangkok's Chulalongkorn University who have planned to file a lawsuit against her government's allegedly poor water management and information concealment, insisting that she will not resign, but keeping on working at her best to serve the public. In response to the lecturers’ plan to gather people’s signatures to back their legal action against her administration, Yingluck said that the country's ongoing flooding crisis is a great natural disaster which other countries could not resist either. The Pheu Thai premier insisted that all parties concerned have done their best and should receive sympathy and morale support. The prime minister acknowledged that she and all the relevant parties are willing to consider all information, recommendations and proposals and will implement what are possible or practical for the sake of public interests with no discrimination against different groups or camps.
