Thai PM inspects water situation in Nakhon Sawan
NAKHON SAWAN, November 5 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has travelled to Nakhon Sawan for an aerial inspection on the severely flood-hit lower northern province.
Accompanied by Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Yongyuth Wichaidit and Director General of the Ministry of Interior's Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Wiboon Sa-nguanpong, Yingluck is also scheduled to hold a meeting with local authorities concerned for a situational briefing and to discuss rehabilitation plans for the province, where recent floods have been receding.
Meanwhile, the Royal Thai Army was moving more than a dozen of high-priced military conveyors from its 2nd Cavalry Division in Bangkok's Sanam Pao area to its 4th Cavalry Division in the central Saraburi Province, after flooding has been expanding into the capital's inner areas.
At the Parliament building in the city's Dusit area, Thai House Speaker Somsak Kiartsuranont presided over a ceremony to release a caravan of mobile kitchens, under a parliamentary flood relief mission, to prepare food at flood shelters, from November 5-25. (TNA)
