Thai PM Granted Audience With Bhutan King And Queen

BANGKOK, November 21 (TNA) - Their Majesties King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan granted an audience to Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra at the Emporium Suites Hotel on Sukhumvit 24 Road in Bangkok Monday, on an auspicious occasion that the newly-wed royal couple are staying in Thailand from November 20-22 before visiting the United Kingdom. The Thai government hosted a luncheon for Their Majesties the King and Queen of Bhutan at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok and the Thai prime minister extended her best wishes, on behalf of the Thai government and people, to the royal couple on the occasion of their recent royal wedding. The Kingdom of Bhutan and the Kingdom of Thailand have developed close ties at all levels, including people-to-people, government-to-government and monarchy-to-monarchy, and have also adopted the same sufficiency economy philosophy.
