Thai PM follows King's advice on resolving flooding

BANGKOK, November 3 (TNA) - Thai Defence Minister General Yuthasak Sasiprapa said on Thursday that Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has followed His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's advice on approaches to resolve the country's ongoing flooding crisis. General Yuthasak told reporters that the Pheu Thai premier has fully heeded His Majesty the King's initiations, publicized in 1995, on flood prevention and resolutions and has closely followed up the updated situation. General Yuthasak insisted that the government's Flood Relief Operations Centre (FROC), comprising all parties concerned, has worked in a unified manner. Accompanied by Thai Army Commander-in-Chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha, the defence minister later conducted an aerial inspection on flooding sites in Bangkok's both eastern and western sites, including Lak Hok, Klong Sam Wa, the Don Mueang Airport, the Air Force Base, Tawee Watana and Klong Maha Sawadi, as assigned by the prime minister.
