Thai PM dispatches more aid caravans to help flood victims

BANGKOK, November 6 (TNA) – Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has launched more aid caravans to assist flood victims across the country. Meanwhile a survey shows that flood victims are most satisfied with the military in relief operations offered by different agencies. Yingluck presided over the launch of six caravans Sunday morning. Three of the caravans will travel to help flood victims in Bangkok while the other three will travel to aid provincial flood victims in Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Nakhon Pathom provinces. Each caravan of trucks carries flood relief supplies including flat boats, rafts, floating toilets, bags of necessities, foods, and veterinarians. At the ceremony, Yingluck said she never stops being concerned about the hardships of people and she wants to see all parties work together to overcome the crisis. Meanwhile, the ABAC poll on the level of public satisfaction for agencies’ role in helping flood victims Sunday showed that the military scored the highest point, drawing 9.56 points out of the maximum 10. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the government received a similar score at 8.34 and 8.3 respectively. (TNA)
