Thai-Japanese ICT sectors boost cooperation

BANGKOK, May 19 (TNA) - Thai and Japanese information and communication technology (ICT) agencies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on strengthening bilateral cooperation, aimed at boosting market demand for their ICT products. The new Thai-Japanese MOU was inked this week between the Association of Thai ICT Industry, the Association of Thai Software Industry and Japan’s Made in Japan Software Consortium. Suwipa Wanasathop, Assistant Director of Thailand's National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), who presided over the signing ceremony, said that the MOU is also aimed at strengthening cooperation between the Thai and Japanese ICT sectors and forming an international ICT network. To that end, Suwipa acknowledged, Thai and Japanese ICT sectors will see improved quality of their ICT products with more added-values on regional and global markets. (TNA)
