Thai government to include traditional wisdom into curricula

BANGKOK, July 5 (TNA) - The government has agreed to include traditional Thai wisdom into the Ministry of Education's curricula for students at all levels. Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra anoounced the new policy, as proposed by a senior teacher on traditional Thai wisdom, at a meeting of the Office of the Education Council held at Bangkok's Government House on Thursday. Yingluck insisted that her government supports conserving and promoting the traditional Thai wisdom in all areas to younger generations, suggesting as well that activities on promoting the traditional Thai wisdom be held on a continual basis to publicize the traditional Thai wisdom domestically and internationally.
