Tender Board vital role stressed

Manama, Oct.6 (BNA): Housing Minister Bassim bin Yacoub Al-Hamer stressed the crucial role of the Tender Board in regulating Government transactions with private companies. Al-Hamer, also Tender Board Chairman, stressed the criteria which govern the work of the panel, taking into consideration particularly transparency between Government departments and private parties. He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for promulgating the new-look board of directors, stressing resolve to preserve the gains achieved by the panel since its inception. He described the Tender Board as being a unique panel in the region, being based on the principles of transparency which is a core pillar of the reform project led by HM the King.
