Tax on Google brings KGS 100 mln to budget of Kyrgyzstan

At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, the head of the Cabinet, Akylbek Zhaparov, said that this year the so-called Google Tax was introduced and 20 companies have already been registered. According to him, USD 100 million have been received in the budget since the beginning of the year. “These IT companies are not located in the country, but they pay taxes for the provision of services. Yandex Taxi completely switched to cash registers. Now we track every taxi and the company will pay the corresponding taxes,” he added. The so-called Google Tax refers to foreign organizations providing services in electronic form without using a domain name or IP address registered in the Kyrgyz Republic, the place of delivery of which is recognized as the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
