Speaker receives second NIHR report

Manama, Dec 30 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed Al-Mulla affirmed that the parliamentary Committee on Human Rights will discuss the second National Institution for Human Rights' report and will take legislative and constitutional action to achieve a safe and decent life for citizens under the royal reforms and democracy led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Receiving the NIHR delegation led by President Dr. Abdulaziz Abul who presented the second NIHR report, Al-Mulla praised the institution's legal responsibility and national role in bolstering and disseminating the culture of human rights. Al-Mulla welcomed broadening cooperation through the activation of joint cooperation agreement signed last year. He said that the NIHR report documents the progress of human rights and the government efforts for the development of the same in Bahrain. Dr. Abul pointed out the parliamentary support for human rights and welcomed cooperation in the interest of the homeland and citizens.
