South Africa Foreign Minister appreciates the organization of IORA Summit

Jakarta, IORA – South Africa Foreign Minister Maite Nkoana Mashabane appreciates the organization of Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) Summit by the government of Indonesia. “We appreciate the organization of IORA by Indonesian government that has been running successfully,” said Minister Maite in a press conference with Indonesia Foreign Minister Retno L. P. Marsudi and Australia Foreign Minister Julie Bishop at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Monday (3/6). He added that this first summit is a wonderful gift to the organization established since 20 years ago and it surely will bring positive impact for IORA member states to build stronger cooperation. IORA organization is an opportunity to expand economy cooperation in the Indian Ocean rim. The potential is immense since the population of the countries reaches 2.7 billion people. “It is the only organization connected to the Indian Ocean and keep improving,” he said.
