Situation on border stabilized, controlled by President Zhaparov

Bishkek, April 30, 2021 . / Kabar / . A working group led by First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Artem Novikov is in Batken Oblast. Since its arrival, the group has taken a number of measures to resolve the conflict, the press service of the Kyrgyz president reported Friday. Commission of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on settling the armed conflict in the border regions signed a statement on ending the armed conflict and withdrawal of personnel and military equipment to the places of permanent deployment. Measures are being taken to prevent an escalation of tension on the state border. The incident on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border in Batken Oblast demonstrated the unity of the Kyrgyz people. Over the past 24 hours, many Kyrgyzstanis expressed a desire to leave for the border region and help resolve the conflict. Currently, there is no need for volunteers to go to the border region. The hotbed of tension has been extinguished and the situation has been resolved through negotiations. The governmental working group continues its work, all the aid, medicines, provisions are delivered to Batekn Oblast without any delay.
