Shura council delegation participates in "This Is Bahrain"

Paris, June 18 (BNA): The Shura Council’s delegation to "This Is Bahrain" Exhibition, Conference and Dialogue, held here recently, affirmed that showcasing the Kingdom's achievements, and highlighting its democratic experience, which is based on diversity, peace and national unity, are national duties of individuals and institutions, including the legislative branch which is an important component the democratic work process in the kingdom, since the inception of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s reform project.
The delegation comprises Chairperson of Shura Council's foreign affairs, defence and national security committee Sawsan Taqawi, Nancy Khedouri, Shura Council Assistant Secretary-General for Public Relations, Media and Research Affairs Dr. Fawzia Al-Jeeb and Head of Media and Communication Wafa Al-Thawadi.
Taqawi pointed out that the final conference reflected the attendees’ keen interest in the success of Bahrain’s experience at achieving security and stability and fighting terrorism.
The delegation highlighted the large turnout by the French people and the communities living there, as well as ambassadors and diplomats, noting the role of Bahrain Federation of Expatriate Associations (BFEA) in organising this event, which has achieved its objectives of reflecting Bahrain’s cultural diversity and religious tolerance.
Nancy Khedouri said that the delegation took part in several activities like visiting the French National Assembly and various religious institutions.
Dr. Al-Jeeb said that the council’s pavilion in the exhibition displayed and distributed publications, with the participation of several Bahraini ministries, agencies and civil society institutions.
