Shura Council condemns foreign interference

Manama, July 19 (BNA): The Shura Council today issued a statement in which it dubbed the statements of the UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson and the US Department of State (USDOS) as foreign interference into Bahrain's internal affairs and a transgression against the country's independent, fair and just judiciary and its constitutional institutions. The Council urged the obtaining of accurate and constructive news and information about the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Council asserted that freedoms and rights have always been ensured as per the Constitution and the National Action Charter. The Shura Council expressed its aspiration that Bahrain's relations with all friendly countries will continue to achieve the mutual interest and will be developed and boosted in all fields on the basis of reciprocal respecting of national sovereignty and the rule of law in accordance with international law and conventions.
