Shura Council condemns cowardly terror attack

Manama, July 28 (BNA): The Shura Council has condemned the terrorist attack in Sitra that has killed and injured on-duty Ministry of Interior servicemen, saying it was a cowardly act. The Shura members said they refused all forms of violence and terrorism that target the security and stability of the nation and terrorize citizens and residents. “Terror operations are the result of an extremist ideology based on inciting hatred and rejecting dialogue,” the Shura members said. “It is an alien concept supported by foreign parties that are known to all. More efforts are needed by officials, civil society institutions, religious scholars and figures and opinion leaders to confront this concept, particularly that these criminal acts target the beloved nation.” The Shura members extended its condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed God to rest their souls in eternal peace and top grant their families fortitude to bear the painful loss. The members also prayed for a speedy recovery of the injured.
