Shura council chairman receives Thai ambassador

Manama, Sept. 8 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh has praised the efforts exerted by Thailand's Ambassador in the Kingdom of Bahrain Vichai Varasirikul during his tenure, which, he said, consolidated bilateral relations in all fields. He said that the kingdom of Bahrain is keen on promoting its relations with friendly Thailand in order to meet the aspirations and interests of both the countries. Al-Saleh was speaking as he received the outgoing Thai ambassador and reviewed with him the historical Bahraini-Thai relations. They underscored the importance of cooperation in the parliamentary field, stressing the need to advance cooperation between the legislative councils in order to pave the way for exchanging expertise and benefitting from the two countries' parliamentary experience. The Thai ambassador expressed his thanks to the Shura Council Chairman and members for their cooperation, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
