Shura council chairman receives GMCo president

Manama, Dec. 9 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh underscored the importance of cooperation among GCC specialised financial and economic institutions and organisations and benefit from their expertise in this field in order to support the efforts exerted by the legislative branch at adopting laws that serve production and economic sectors in light of the international economy changes. This come as Al-Saleh received here today Gulf Monetary Council (GMCo) President Dr. Raja M. Al-Marzoqi, currently on a visit to Bahrain to give an economic lecture, organise by the shura council that address the public debt and diversification of GCC income sources. The meeting was attended by Chairman of Shura Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs Khalid Hussain Al-Maskati and committee members. Al-Saleh said that the council support cooperation with GCC institutions and organisations in all fields, given their objectives of promoting GCC joint action. He highlighted the necessity of being informed about the researches and studies conducted by these organisations in all areas so as to unite visions and aspirations in terms of putting joint future policies. Al-Marzoqi expressed thanks and appreciation to Al-Saleh for the invitation of giving an economic lecture in the Kingdom of Bahrain and expressed his pride in Al-Saleh's cooperation and positive interaction.
